Stampin Up Spring Song

I used the hummingbird stamp from the Stampin Up Spring Song set to create this scene. The birch trees are from Beeswax, the rest of the stamps are from Stampscapes. I used a lot of Copic colors in this one.
I stamped my scene on Curious Cryogen White with Brilliance Graphite Black ink. I always heat set my ink before coloring. I began by using YG21 Anise on the meadow and the trees. I wanted that bright new spring grass look. I added G82 Spring Dim Green to the trees as well as the tufts of grass. I used W3 Warm Gray for shading on the birch trees and along the base of the rocks and trees in the meadow for some shadows. The rocks are E33 Sand. Using RV21 Light Pink, RV25 Dog Rose Flower and R83 Rose Mist I colored in the flowers, the leaves are YG17 Grass Green. The bird was tough, it started out one color but became another. I used BG34 Horizon Green to begin with, but it was too bright so I used YG21 Anise on top and it got closer to what I think is a true hummingbird color. R27 Cadmium Red is under his chin. The sky is B000 Pale Porcelain Blue. Oh, and a touch of YR15 Pumpkin Yellow in the center of the big bloom. And that was it.

Thank you, Sandy. Actually this is the first A2 size scene I have done in awhile, so it is just under 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches. The hummingbird stamp is not very large. I am glad you are enjoying my blog. Thanks for visiting.
