Retirement card for Rose
A friend I used to work with has retired and I am going to her party so I needed a card. I used this fabulous stamp from RubberNecker This time I used a new paper, Beckett Expressions Radiance, it is a lighter weight paper and the inks blend fabulously, plus it works in my printer. The flowers are done with Copics R05 Salmon Red, R35 Coral and Y38 Honey. I used E35 Chamois for the flower centers and the frame around the flowers. The leaves are YG63 with some Y38 Honey added for shading. The blue background is B21 Baby Blue. I outlined the entire image with W-1 Warm Gray. I also added dots to the outer white with my Judith Peg stamp to break up the white area. I used R35 Coral to color matching ribbon and rhinestones. The saying is computer generated using a font called "Harrington". I decided to spice up the envelope by stamping the image with Memento London Fog, then stamping the center poppy in black, coloring and cutting it out, I adhered it over the gray stamped image. Pretty cool, I think.
