CutCardStock.com challenge

CutCardStock.com is having a "Cut It Up" Sketch contest on their blog, be sure to check it out, some nice prizes. They have two sketches that you can use. This is my first submission. Using my Cuttlebug embossing folder and Stardreams text weight Emerald, Mars and Gold, I made the mosaic background of the sketch which I then mounted to Curious Iridescent Poison Ivory. The poinsetta by Inkadinkado was stamped onto Curious Iridescent Cryogen White, colored with Copic markers and cut out. I used R85 Rose Red shaded with R39 Garnet for the petals and YG67 Moss for the leaves. Then to tie it in with the mosaic background, I outlined it with YR23 Yellow Ochre. I also added some yellow Spica pen to the center of the flower. Again using my Copics, I changed what was a silver metal ornament into a gold, garnet and green ornament to match the card. The addition of the ribbon and rhinestones complete the card. The papers shimmer so beautifully that the overall effect is very elegant. If you have not had a chance to try Stardreams or Curious Iridescents, I highly recommend them. And CutCardStock.com has the some of the best prices I have found.
