Brayered Autumn sunset

Here is a very quick brayered card I made this morning. Finished size is 4.25 x 5.5 inches.

I began with Xerox Heavyweight Matte Cover. I applied Adirondack Lights Peach Bellini directly to the paper then ran my brayer lightly over it to smooth it out. I dried the ink with my air gun and applied the mask for my sun. Then I brayered another coat of Peach Bellini over the entire card.

For the bottom half, I brayered Adirondack Brights Mountain Rose on the lower edge, about 3/4 of an inch, then blended it up into the scene. You may need to do this a couple of times. Then to finish the bottom, I brayered Adirondack Earthtones Rust on the lower 1/2 inch of the card, again blending up into the scene. I heat set the ink when I was done to prevent smears.

Turning the cardstock around, I used Adirondack Brights Purple Surf very sparingly on the top edge, blending down into the scene. You want to stay away from the darker peach on the bottom or you will have mud. Just add thin layers, one at a time until you get the intensity that you want. When I was happy with the color, I removed my moon mask and heat set once again.

Now I began the actual stamping, I used Archival Jet Black ink. This is the scariest part because your stamp can slide very easily and ruin your scene. And the ink stays wet for quite some time so watch where your fingers are! Once I had it stamped out, I heat set again. The last step was to add Copic Spica gel accents to the branches for a little bling.
