I am having great fun combining images from Repeat Impressions. This time I used the lamp post in the foreground which I masked and then added the house behind it. I think it makes a very pastoral scene. And then you have to love everything about this saying.
I stamped this on Curious Cryogen White so the added shimmer through the ink really enhances the snowy feel of the card. Of course, I used Copics to color it. B60 Pale Blue Gray for the sky, B000 Pale Porcelain Blue for the snow accents. For the house I chose B91 Pale Grayish Blue with Y32 Cashmere trim. I wanted the windows to look like the lights are on, so I used Y17 Golden Yellow on the panes as well as the flame in the lamp post. The branch is E33 Sand, the greenery is YG63 Pea Green. I used C4 Cool Gray on the lamp post, and R46 Strong Red for the bow. The last step was to color coordinating ribbon, I used R39 Garnet to match the red cardstock. I embossed the saying with my favorite color, brass.
I think this make a wonderful Christmas card, simple yet with an elegant style. I hope you enjoy it. The finished size is 5 x 5 inches.

Sandy-how big is that house stamp? I have been on a kick for months collecting house stamps (mostly because I want to move and can't) and this gives me dreams for someday. I need to go look. I got a few things from RI but need to poke around more. Just need to get rid of the snow. I need sunshine!
There are two house stamps over there and neither has a size. I looked all over the site. Dangit.
Sandy your card is amazing! I LOVE Christmas cards and boy do I LOVE your Christmas cards!
Gorgeous color! Have a wonderful weekend, Jennifer :)
Hi, Jan, thanks for the comments. This house is 304-N Home for the Holidays and it measures 3 1/5 x 2 5/8. The other house 3308-M The Pastor's House is 3 3/4 x 2 1/4 inches. Hope this helps.
Sandy, this is just so beautiful. I love the way you put the lamppost in the foreground and made it look like the house was way up on the hill! It's lovely!
This is very beautiful Sandy and your right the saying says it all :0)
