Geese at Sunset
I felt like scenic stamping this morning and since I had my Coronado Island Designs stamps out, I thought I would use some that had never seen ink yet.
I began with the beautiful Canadian geese stamp. I then masked it and added the right and left shore lines behind them. Next came the Sunset and the grass and cattails in the foreground. Oh, and this great cloud stamp which I stamped repeatedly in the sky.
To color, I began with Copic B000 in the water shaded with B01. The sandy shores are E51 shaded with E53. I used E70 for the rocks and for some shadows. There is not much coloring on the geese, mostly just shading with C3 and E51. I did use YR12 for their beaks. The sun is Y19 shaded with YR12. I airbrushed B21 and B34 in the sky then added some YR21 to both the sky and the water for reflection. I used both B53 and YG63 in the grass and weeds in the foreground. The last step was the branches on the top corners to which I added some YG63 and the 3 birds flying in the sky.
I think being in the frigid, snowy Midwest has me dreaming of warmer places. Thanks for stopping by.

You always get the perspective of scenes and placing elements just right-- it looks perfectly balanced and perfectly colored.
Great scene Sandy. I love your geese and the sunset is awesome!
This is where I want to be right now. Awesome. ...Pat M
