I think guy cards are one of the hardest cards to make. I want to add embellishments but I don't want to make it too froo-frooey! I was inspired to make this card from an entry over at Beate's Fresh & Fun blog.
I love this simple tree image from Sweet Impressions Stamps It is quite elegant in its simplicity. I stamped it on Cryogen white paper with Rich Cocoa Memento Ink. I then added just a bit of E71 to the trunk and branches and BG93 to the foliage. The Get Well Soon is also from Sweet Impressions, again stamped with Rich Cocoa.
This wonderful DP is from Dream Street Papers, the Art Nouveau collection. I added three heavy brads from Hobby Lobby's Spare Parts, three rhinestones and then 2 silver brads and I was all done. I think I balanced all the pieces pretty well.
Don't forget to leave a comment on this blog entry to win the St. Patrick's Day stamps from Sweet Impressions. I will draw a winning name on Monday evening.

Oh, Sandy, you've done it again! Magnificent! I love the "manly" brads, and the font on the saying. At first I thought you used a Stampscapes tree, so I am going to try something similar with same. I need a BD card for a man next week. He will be 80 so no froo-froohy for him, I can promise you that! Thanks for sharing, as always.
Sandy, your card looks fantastic! It's a perfect guy card. Love it!
