Skating by Mo Manning

The challenge over at Copic Creations is to use your favorite color combinations. Mo Manning of Mo's Digital Pencil is this week's sponsor.

So I decided to create a scene around Bella and Bronte Skating. Aren't they just the cutest, I had to get them all; Toboggan and Jingle Bells.

I began by resizing the image and then printing it onto Cryogen white paper with my inkjet printer. I also printed the image onto Eclipse tape to use as a mask. Once I had her masked, I built the scene around her. The bank, birds, bushes and branches are all Stampscapes. The mountains are from Sutter.

So back to the challenge, I used my favorite combination of BG11 and BG13 for Bella's coat and R81, R83, R85 for her scarf and muff. Another favorite is BV01 and BV04 for Bronte's scarf. For the ground I used a combination of E51, E53, E55 and E33 with accents of B000. The frozen water and snowy areas is B0000, B000 and B00. I colored Bronte with E42, E43, and E44 (a great combination for animals) and then airbrushed B24 into the sky. Cute, huh? Finished size is 8.5 x 10.75 inches. Thanks for stopping by.

Sandy, this is fabulous! How cool to see a "Mo" in the middle of the landscape. Beautifully done! I still haven't created my Stampscape scene, but I have everything to do it - just need time to sit down and make it happen.

Sandy! there aren't words enough in my vocabulary to do this piece justice! This is Magnificent! Delightful! so playful and your coloring is awesome! I love it! thanks for coloring a long w/us at copic creations and hope you win!!! This is just my kind of card! If it doesn't have a home, I'd love to card swap with you!!!! Although, I don't have the stampscapes scene ability like you, I like to make little vignettes...if that is even what you'd call it! lol
