Mo's Digital Challenge 8 - Create a Christmas Scene

Today over at Mo's Digital Challenge Blog  Caryn, our hostess has challenged us to create a Christmas scene using at least two images from Mo's Digital Pencil.

I wanted my card to look like you were indoors and when you open the doors you see the carolers singing in the yard. I created a scene using Mo's Christmas Tree, Singin' So Beautiful and Jingle Bells in Adobe Photoshop Elements.  The hinges and the borders on the door are Peel Off stickers.  I added acetate to the window panes to look like glass.

I printed the image onto Cryogen white paper with my inkjet printer.  Copics used:
Tree - G40, G24
Decorations - B37, E33, R24, R29, Y19
Bella - E000, E00, E02   Hair - YR18
Hat, Coat and Stockings - Y19, G24
Shoes - E33
Bronte - E43  Scarf - R24
Cats - C2, Y21
Hat and Bow - R24  Collar - G24
Mouse - E42
Songbooks - B00

I used Sparkly Fluff from Our Craft Lounge on the hat bands and a gold Spica pen on the cat's collar.  For the final touch, I airbrushed B26 for a night sky, adding white Glaze pen stars.

Be sure to visit Mo's Digital Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has come up with and to join in on the fun.  You don't have to have software to merge images as I did, you can simply piece them together.

I found a free program called GIMP and you can use it to do most of the same things that Adobe Photoshop Elements will do.  I tried it out and was able to erase the white background around one of Mo's images to make it transparent.  That is what I have done to each image to merge them on this card.  You might give it a try.
