Mo's Digital Challenge 9 - Someone Special

Our hostess this month at Mo's Challenge Blog, Lydia has set our challenge to "Someone Special".  We are to make a Christmas card for someone special using traditional Christmas colors; red, green, gold, silver, blue.

For my card I chose Bismarck, isn't he just the cutest? I began by sizing and printing the image onto Cryogen paper with my ink jet printer.  Copics used:
Hat - R29, R89, G05, G09
Scarf - R29, R89, G05, gold Spica pen
Bismarck - C0, C1, C4
Bone - E41 and blender pen
Bow - G05, G09

I used Sugar Sparkly Fluff from Our Craft Lounge on the hat band and tassel.  Spellbinder's Nestabilities Labels 3 die was used to cut out the image but before I removed it, I ran a Copic multiliner around the inner edge to create the fine black border.

If you notice this card has no designer paper.  I used another piece of Cryogen white for the embossed Cuttlebug Holly Ribbon panel.  The card stock is a wonderful Malmero Perle from Cutcardstock.com; Vermillion red and Emeraude green. They are great true red and green colors with a fabulous sparkle just like the Cryogen.  The saying is computer generated.  Some ribbon and pearls and I was done.  Finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

Be sure to visit the challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team has come up with and join in on the fun  for a chance to win a free Mo Manning digital image.

I love Bismark! He is beautiful in traditional Christmas colors. The CB background is elegant and the pearls add to that also.

One of my all time faves!!! Love the ribbon strips, the image, the Cb background -- ALL OF IT. The only way I could love it more was if it were a cat, holding a wee little mousie by the tail.

Really terrific card Sandy, the detail to this card really makes it stand out (not to mention the superb coloring).

You don't need designer papers Sandy. You make fabulous cards just like this without it!

Wow Sandy, another awesome job! Mo has such great digis, but somehow I missed this one! Nothing I could do would compare with this. No DP needed, you've showed you don't need them.
