Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Sketch Challenge

I am sorry I have not posted in a bit but I am just recovered from a nasty flu bug.  It was so nice to be able to sit up and color and enjoy the day.  So check out this sketch challenge for Prickly Pear Rubber Stamps, talk about being a great challenge, phew!

So I started with the star which I printed onto Cryogen white paper, added a 1/8 inch border and then cut out.  Then I printed it onto red cardstock as well as my DP from SEI and cut them both out, subtracting 1/8" from the edge of the DP.  Then I made the snowflakes from McGill and Martha Stewart punches, added lots of Stickles and then wondered, huh, now what do I do?
I have this fabulous image from Mo's Digital Stamps called Kai in the Snow, what a cutie.  Since I have yet to color her, I figured it was time.  I printed Kai onto Iced Gold paper with my Canon inkjet printer.  Copics used:
Kai - E000, E00, E02, R20
Snowsuit - B12, B16, R46
Scarf and Mittens - G12, G18
Stars - YR12
Shoes - E33, W1, W3
Snow - B0000

I lightly airbrushed B02 around the edges.  For the falling snow I used a Snow Marker from Marvy.  It is liquid applique in a pen form.  You have much more control with it than with the old applique tubes.  Click on the image of Kai and you will see that the little dots of snow are puffed up.  Essentially it is puff paint in marker form.  You let it dry and then slowly heat it with your heat gun until it puffs up.  For the tassels and pom on the hat, I used Our Craft Lounge Sparkly Fluff.  It makes them fuzzy.

So here is the final result, I added some ribbon, some more snowflakes and I was done.  It makes a very cute wall or door hanging.  This was quite a challenge for me but it seems once I got on a roll, I just kept going, lol.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out my friend Jenny's creation, it is pretty amazing.  I see she has given it away to one of her loyal followers.
