Beginner's Scenic Stamping

If you want to learn the basics of scenic stamping, there is still time to join my online class at My Creative Classroom.  You will learn how to use the stylus tool, how to stamp basic scenes and add people and animals, still maintaining proper perspective, plus much more.  This class is open to anyone who has a computer, access is available 24/7.   I hope to see some of you there.

Here is a card I taught in an advanced class recently.  This is done on glossy card stock, colored with a Colorbox Stylus, Adirondack inks and some dye marker work.

The main stamp, the cobblestone house with the path is from a company called Creative Impressions.  It has been sold to Talk About Images but their website is still under construction.  All the other stamps are from Stampscapes Rubber Stamps.

So I stamped the main image, then added 244E Tree Cluster on the right hand side.  Then masking off the bottom edge, I stamped Tree Cluster again on the left of the house.  It made them appear shorter to match the trees in the original stamp.  Then it was just a matter of filling in the grassy areas with 251C Sedge Filler.

All inks are Adirondack.  For the path and the house, I applied Sandal.  It is such a light color that you do not have to worry about getting it in the grassy areas.  Next came Lettuce for the grassy areas and trees, shaded with Pesto.  The cobblestones on the house and some on the path were colored with Tombow 912 Cherry.  Then I used an assortment of markers for the flowers down the path.  For the sky, I stamped 281F Cloud Strips with Stonewashed and then added more Stonewashed with the Stylus tool.  The last step was to add 203G Oak Branch and 277F Leafy Branch as framing elements.
