Moon Reflection

Yesterday in class with my monthly ladies (hi, girls) we made this card. Edna wanted to do a reflection in the water. Previously I had always done it by making a mask of the reflection but this time I decided to just stamp the image again into the water. All stamps are from Stampscapes Rubber Stamps.

We began by stamping Maple Brook about centered on the glossy paper with Marvy Black ink.  Next we stamped Cloud w/Moon Rising Large above the trees with Adirondack Denim ink.  Again, inking up with Denim, (I had the girls lightly stamp off once and it gave a much softer reflection) we stamped the moon in the water.  Then using a Colorbox Stylus we added Adirondack Lettuce to the trees, a little Adirondack Pesto for shadows and Adirondack Stonewashed for the sky and water.  Finished up by stamping Crooked Limb on the top and Twisting Leaves Small on the bottom to frame the scene, both with Marvy black ink.  The last step is to seal the work with a Glossy Acrylic Spray (do not use the low-odor, some people have had trouble with the ink running)  Finished size is 4.25 x 5.5 inches.

Boah,
am absolutely thrilled by your beautiful works.
I have now gained some stamps and visit from me just at the
first cards.
Would often look to come and get me suggestions, I hope that's okay.
For some time I'm a fan of your cards are a dream.

Hello, Your stampscape cards are really gorgeous, they almost look like photographs. I recently purchased the nature sheet 4# stampscape at a craft show and have yet to use it. Thankyou for sharing your lovely images, it helps to inspire people like me who are yet to discover the world of stampscapes!! Lynn:)
