Mo's Digital Challenge 27 - Sketch

This week at Mo's Challenge blog, Peggy, our hostess has created a sketch for us to follow. Won't you join in on the fun and play along for a chance to win a Mo Manning digi image of your choice.  You must use a Mo Manning image on your card, if you don't have one, you can get a freebie over at her Paper Craft Planet group, become a member and keep up to date on all the freebies!

For today's card, I chose to combine two of Mo's newest images,  Superduper Girl and Superduper Boy.  I actually started backwards on this card.  I created the card according to the sketch first, finished size is 5 x 7inches.  All the paper patterns are from one sheet of paper; the dots are the reverse side of the stars and words.  It is called  Wild Thing from the Rusty Pickle's Shazaam collection.  Very cool paper, when I saw it at my local stamp store, I knew it was perfect for the card I had rolling around in my head, lol.  So I got the card made and then reached for my Spellbinders Circle Nesties to see which size die fit the card.  I decided to use the largest so I measured it, 3.5 inches and then opened Adobe Photoshop Elements.  I began with a transparent background, 3.5 inches square and added an outline of a circle, just touching the edges.  Then I resized my canvas to 5 inches square.  I knew I was going to hang the capes off the edge of the circle.  I opened both Superduper images and dragged them into the circle, sizing them to fit.  I reversed the image of the boy so he was facing left and put him in the foreground.  That required erasing the white background around his left side so he could overlap the girl.

Then I printed the image onto Cryogen white paper with my inkjet printer.  Copics used:
Faces - E000, E00
Boy Hair - E33
Boy Cape - R27, B23
Boy Shirt - C2, B21, R27
Boy Gloves and Mask - C5
Boy Shorts - B21
Boy Pants - B23, R27
Girl Hair - YR18
Girl Cape - R85, B23
Girl Leotard - B21, B23
Girl Tights - R81
Crown and Boots - Y 11
Shadow - C0

I hand cut the white circle, carefully cutting around the capes and her hair.  The red circle was die cut with my largest Nestie, then the blue circle was hand cut.  I am very pleased with how this turned out.  I can just hear Mighty Mouse singing "Here we come to save the day........"

So be sure to check out what the rest of the design team and has come up with.  And I hope I have inspired you to give digi stamps a try.
