Penny Black Illumination Flowers

This week at ABC Toys and Crafts
ALL DIE CUTS & SLICE MACHINE ON SALE 15% OFF FROM JUNE 13th-19th
NO COUPON CODE NEEDED!! HAVE FUN!!

For today's card, I started with this great new stamp from the Penny Black Clear Illumination Flowers stamp set.  I forgot how much I enjoy using these bold floral stamps from Penny Black.  Using water based markers, I colored directly on the stamp, using a shade of orange and pink for the buds and 2 shades of green and a touch of brown on the leaves.  I huffed my breath on the stamp to moisten the ink then stamped the image onto Cryogen paper.  I die cut the image and scalloped layer using Spellbinders Long Rectangle dies.  The DP is from the 6x6 Basic Grey Capella paper pad.  I used Spellbinders Labels 9 dies for the sentiment as well as the horizontal striped piece.  The Get Well Soon is from the Hero Arts Clear Leaf Prints stamp set.  I split the words into 2 lines so it would fit in the die, so easy to do with clear stamps.  Finished size is 6" square.

I really like these kind of cards and they're so easy to do. Will have to get some of my old stamps out or buy this new set and make some again. As always your paper selection is the greatest. Edna

Very pretty Sandy!! I love that technique of coloring & blending direct to bold stamps. I learned it from Dee Gruenig on DIY Scrapbooking with Sandi Genovese and got hooked. :o)

Take care and STAY POSITIVE!
