I should be saving this card for a future Mo's Digital challenge but it turned out so nice, I just had to share it with you all right away, lol.
I started with another of my new dies, this one is called Oval Frames Cutting and Embossing Die (pretty boring name for such an awesome die) from Joy Crafts. I only used the outer die for this card. I measured the inner oval and then sized Mo's new image, Angel with Kitten to fit. I printed her onto Curious Cryogen paper with my inkjet printer. I knew I wanted to stay primarily white and gold so I kept the colors to a minimum. Copics used:
Angel - E0000, E000, E00, E11
Hair - E21, E33
Gown - YR20, YR21, YR23
Kitten - W00, W1, R20
Wings and Shadow - BG0000
I used a Sizzix Holly Ribbon embossing folder for the background, again using Curious Cryogen. Before removing the outer ring from the die, I airbrushed YR23 over the flowers. Then I laid the flat side of the die down, traced around it and cut out a mat for the ovals. I popped up the oval with the angel using pop dots. The gold paper is also from the Curious line, it is called Super Gold. It has an amazing shimmer to it, just like the Cryogen. Click on the close-up to the right to see the sparkle.
Although the Cuttlebug folder is supposed to be 5x7, it is actually 4.75 x 6.5 so it does not actually fill a 5x7 card. I cut the bottom off the embossed panel, moved it down and then added a border to fill in the gap. This is another of my new dies , this one is Large Filigree Cutting and Embossing die also from Joy Crafts. Again, I airbrushed YR23 before removing it from the die. I added some pearls to the filigrees, the corners and the flowers on the oval die cut. Finished size is 5 x 7.
If you are interested in trying the Curious Metallic papers, Cut Card Stock has them on sale through the end of the July. You can get them as text weight or card stock. I used card stock for my card, only because I am out of the text weight Super Gold. I get all my Cryogen from them, they ship very quickly and I highly recommend them. When you are checking on shipping, be sure to try USPS, the rates are usually cheaper but I think they default to UPS.

Ohhhh what a beautiful card, ans so lovely the Angel.
Aaaarrrrghhhhh. Why didn't Stacey tell us she had these dies? I want them all. Who makes them? Now I guess I will have to hit up convention to get me some. First I gotta find a ride since sofa boy messed up my car. Danged pot holes. I need an ink refill too. Actually I need some motivation but nobody sells that that I know of. Pretty pretty pretty.
Sandy, this is totally gorgeous!! What a BEAUTIFUL die cut and I looooove the gold and white WOOOOWWWW!!
Hi Sandy. Browsed to your blog from Mo's area at PCP. Just love your card. That die is wonderful, never seen it on sale here in England but I have only just got a die cutter so perhaps never noticed before! LOL. Mo's images are too wonderful though aren't they. She is so talented but you have created a totally gorgeous card with her image. Brilliant!
Tine :)
