The fourth Wednesday of every month is a Fun Challenge over at the Make It Crafty blog. Our challenge this month is Anything Goes. Because I love combining images so much, I have created another Halloween scene.
This one was a little tricky as the moon, bats and fence with pumpkins are all one fabulous image called Eerie Scene, but I wanted the Slimy House in front of the Moon but behind the fence? Easy Peasy! I used the Magic Wand tool in Photoshop Elements to make the Moon transparent. Then I added Slimy House and simply erased the outline portion of the moon where the house overlapped it. Now the moon is in the back and the fence is in the front. I also added Whimsical Mushrooms on the right and left, sizing and flipping the images to fit. I flipped the Eerie Scene, removed the moon entirely and then added just the fence and pumpkins on the right side of the scene. The last step was to add Trick or Treat Witch and Wizard to the foreground. Now that I am done with the scene, I think I could have made the Witch and Wizard a little taller. I don't think the perspective is quite right but it is still cute!
I printed the image onto Cryogen paper with my inkjet printer, then colored it in with my Copics, a LOT of Copics. I laid a piece of Eclipse tape down on the image, then traced the outline so I could cut a mask and then airbrush the sky. I also airbrushed a bit of green around the grass edges. The final touches were the branches around the image, rubber stamps from Stampscapes. Finished size is 6" square.

Beautiful job combining the images, great card!!! I really like the last one also.
LOVE this, Sandy! absolutely WONDERFUL merging of all the digis, and my favourite part is the branches framing the whole scene. what a GORGEOUS card!
as for the kids being taller, i just look at is as "holy cow, that's one BIG spooky house!" :)
I really like the way you have melded everything together and whilst the whole card has a spooky feel (!) Its still pretty. Jill x
Sandy YOU are incredible with your scenes. I think the kiddies look not bad at all! LOL to Leah's comment. Your colouring is fantastic and I love the idea of tracing the horizon to add the background in! Hugs xxoo
Ooh! Spooky!! Great card and I think the kids are the right size.
OK, easy for you to say Easy Peasy. Great job, I will have to try this the next time I open Elements - thanks for the inspiration. Hugs, C2
