Class Today

I had a wonderful time today with my monthly stamping ladies, Hi, Girls!  We made lots of fun stuff.  This first card was a collaboration between myself and Beverly Hubbard (very talented lady)  She had done one and we liked the buck so much, we wanted to try one for ourselves.  The buck is a DreamWeaver stencil and he is done with embossing paste.  I have two versions, one is an end of summer look

the second is a winter look
The scenic elements are all Sutter Stamps, stamped with Marvy black ink onto glossy card stock.  The background colors were added with a Colorbox Stylus.  For the Summer scene I used Adirondack Willow and Lettuce for the grass, Cloudy Blue for the sky and a bit of Sandal on the trees.  I had slight technical difficulty with the paste and splobbed some below the buck.  So I hid it with Flower Soft.  I colored the buck with a watercolor brush and USArtQuest Vintage MicaColor Paint.  It has a great shimmer to it.  For the Winter scene, I added just a hint of Aqua to the background and Sandal to the trees.  The buck is colored the same way, I just made the colors deeper.  Finished size is 4 5/8 x 6 3/8 inches.

For our 2nd card, I used a new Tilda Christmas Morning stamp and made an Easel card.
Using my Cuttlebug Scrolls folder, I embossed the Cryogen card stock then stamped Tilda with Memento black ink in the center.  Copics used:
Tilda - E000, E00, R20
Hair - E11, E15
Dress, Socks and Hairband - R81, R83, C0, C1
Candle - Y11, YR23, R81
The lattice border is an EK Success punch.  The DP is from the SEI Juliette collection.  Finished size is 4.25 x 5.5 inches.

The 3rd card uses a wonderful stamp from Class Act stamps and I made a tent topper card.
I stamped the image with Memento black ink onto Cryogen paper.  Copics used:
Ribbon - R46, R59
Berries - R24, R27
Pine - YG63
Holly - Y15, G24
Lantern - C1, C3
Glass - B0000
Candle - R46, Y15
I think the paper is from Hobby Lobby.  The border is Martha Stewart, the flowers are Nellie Snellen. Finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

And for our last card, a fun one using stamps from Darcies, what a happy card.
All the images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Cryogen paper.  Copics used:
Snowman - B0000, R20
Hat - R46, B0000
Trim and Scarf - B21, B23, Y18, R46
Nose and Beaks - YR07
Redbirds - R27
Bluebirds - B21
Branch - E42
Frame - G24
Mittens - R46, G24, Y18
The DP is some old Debbie Mumm.  Finished size is 4.25 x 5.5 inches.  What a wide selection of cards and techniques.  It really was a fun day.

Of course Tilda is my favorite, even though I liked all of them. The deer is something special also. We ladies love all the cards and classes that you do for us. And Beverly really added to this weeks with her deer demonstration. Edna

Great cards, Sandy! I love the dimension on the buck...I've never seen anything like that. I'll have to check it out.

Sandy: I have that stencil and the dimensional paint but have never considered mixing with stamps. What a great idea. Has my mind whirling....thanks for the inspiration, great job. I hadn't painted my dimensional paint before either, just chalked it. I'm stoked. C2 P.S. love that Sutter stamp.
