Cheery Lynn Designs Poinsettia

I think this is probably one of my last Christmas cards for the year (yeah, right) but it is an elegant one.  I decided to use gold mirror card stock.  Very hard to photograph but very beautiful in real life.  Please check out the detail by clicking on the photo.

I started with the largest of my XL Scalloped Square Stackers Nesting dies, embossing and cutting out the red card base.  Using my Holly XL Embossing Plate and gold mirror card stock, I created the background panel.  Next was the beautiful Poinsettia 2 die, using a combination of red card stock, gold mirror card stock and gold glitter glue.  I dry embossed the flower petals so they would curl and have some dimension.  Using my XL Scalloped Oval Stackers Nesting dies, I created the two oval panels, embossing the gold panel with my Diamonds and Starburst XL Embossing Plate.  For the border panel, I used my Frills and Hearts Border die, layering a gold panel over a red panel.  To balance the card, I added the corner panels on the right side using the smallest dies from my XL Scalloped Circle Stackers Nesting dies.  I again embossed the gold panels with the Diamonds and Starburst XL Embossing plate.  I added some gold jewels in the corners, some ribbon and a fancy bow and I was done.  Finished size is 5 5/8" square.

Please stop by our new Cheery Lynn Designs blog and see the rest of the fabulous work from our team.  Great inspiration and talent, for sure.

This is such an elegant card! All your work is beautiful but I really like the bling and "tinsel" on this one.
