For my Cheery Lynn Designs post today, I had no idea what I wanted to make. But I think this card would be pretty good for any occasion. Be sure to click on the photo to see all the fabulous details.
I began with a 5 x 7 inch red card base. Next came a piece of Cryogen white, 4.75 x 6.75 embossed with XL Petite Hearts embossing plate. I love that I can make an embossed panel this large without piecing it together. Using the newly released French Pastry Doily, I cut the wonderfully detailed circle panel out of red card stock. Using a Circles Little Stackers die, I cut a matching Cryogen white circle for the center to which I added texture using the Large Circle Stitcher plate. See how the stitches follow the circle, pretty cool! Next came Bird on a Branch 2; I used Vintage Photo Distress ink on the branch for some dimension. Now I needed a border, so I used the Frills and Hearts Border, adding a white strip textured with the Large Rectangle Piercing plate. Last but not least are the flowers and leaves. For the base of the roses I used the larger die from Tropical Flower, dry embossing on the back for some roundness to the petals. For the leaves I used 2 sets, Dimensional Large Leaves 2 and Small Leaves 2, again adding Distress ink for some detailing. I added some pearl accents and I was done. Other than the roses, this entire card is made from die cuts, and I think it is quite pretty. Finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

That definitely would be suitable for any occasion. I love how it is created totally with Cheery Lynn dies; minus the roses. A very beautiful creation!!
