I started my card with Opal Stardreams text weight paper and my Flutter Bys embossing plate. I inked the plate up with Satin Rose Shades ink, then ran it through my Big Shot. The ink was transferred to the de-bossed butterflies giving them a lovely soft look. Be sure to click on the picture to see the expanded view. Next came the Oriental Butterfly Doily, I die cut two of them, one out of card stock, the second out of my DP from the Basic Grey Kioshi collection. I layered these two dies, cutting off the antenna on the patterned paper. Using my Lattice 2 die, I created the trellis, layering it onto some of the Kioshi paper. I die cut 2 branches from my Bird on a Branch 2 die, joining them in the center to create the vine up the lattice. I added some of the Satin Rose ink to the vines for some dimension. Next were the smaller butterflies, there are 7 in the Butterfly Bundle so I chose 2 and embossed and die cut them out of the Opal Stardreams paper. This time to add color, I simply dragged the Satin Rose ink pad across the embossed area on the butterflies. Lastly were the leaves for my flower, again I added a branch and then die cut 2 leaves from the Dimensional Large Leaves 2 set. See all the lovely detailing in the leaves? They are really fabulous dies. I assembled the card, added some Stickles to the butterflies and the flower, a gem in the corner and I was done. Finished size is 6" square.
