For my card, I decided to play with some more of Outlines fabulous layering flowers. I used Spotted Petals Medium and Small along with Striped Petals Medium and Small. I began with a piece of tan card stock that had a basket weave pattern. I painted it with Liquid Metallic Red, it gives the card stock a beautiful shimmer, similar to Bazill Bling. Next I took some green card stock and painted it with Liquid Metallic Gold. I stamped the Striped Petals onto the red metallic card stock along with this wonderful sentiment stamp called Embrace All. I stamped with Versafine black ink and learned very quickly that it will not dry on the metallic paint, I had to heat set it quite thoroughly. But I wanted the crisp stamping you get from Versafine. Next came the Spotted Petals, I stamped them with Versafine onto Cryogen white paper then painted in the dots with metallic red. I cut these out and then popped up each layer for some great dimension. Click on the closeup to see the fabulous shimmer from the Liquid Metal paint. I stamped Spotted Leaf onto the gold painted paper with Versafine Black, again heat setting it. I used a couple of embossing folders for background texture and a gold Viva Decor Pearl Pen for the flower center as well as the pearl accents. Finished size is 4.25 x 5.5 inches.

Sandy, finaly found some time to stop by again! Your cards are so pretty and various. De details are very pretty and your coloring beautiful. It was a pleasure "walking" through your blog! Oh and I'm amazed that you find time to do something else than Karen's Doodles as much work you do for her!

That is a beautiful card. I have never seen the Liquid Metal Acrylic Paint. You created a stunning card with all the layering and great colors!
Hi Sandy, gorgeous card. I love the spotty paper you have used for the flower. Not long to go now, getting quite excited..

What a beautiful combo of the red & gold! Thanks for the great tip about VersFine ink on metallic too. Your heating patience certainly paid off!
