Sweet Stamps Challenge 1 - Shades of Pink

Today is the first challenge on the Sweet Stamps blog.  Anyone can enter, but if you use a Sweet Stamps rubber stamp you get two entries into the challenge for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree.  Our challenge this week is for Stacey, the owner of Sweet Stamps......

Shades of Pink
(her favorite color)

For my card, I decided to get my parchment craft supplies out and have some fun (in spite of having to use pink, ugh!)

I began by stamping Filigree Frame with white dye ink onto 36# vellum .  Then I stamped Fancy Flower Large 2 one time, Fancy Flower Med 2 two times and Small Fancy Leaf two times.  Using my Embossing tools and Embossing Mat from the back side of the vellum, I traced the outlines of the images.  On the flowers I filled in some areas with dry embossing for more interest, then used my Memento marker to add some color.  I used a 4-split Perforating Tool to cut out the leaves and the flowers.  Added some gems and mounted it on my card stock base and I was done.

Be sure to visit the Sweet Stamps blog to see what the rest of the design team has come up with and to play along with us for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree at Sweet Stamps

This is a simply beautiful card. I've tried some parchment craft many years ago (before there was even a well-known name for it here in the states) and it was so much fun. I love it and am surely going to try it again. Thanks for the inspiration!
