Sweet Stamps Challenge 4 - Sketch

Today is our fourth challenge on the Sweet Stamps blog.  Anyone can enter, but if you use a Sweet Stamps rubber stamp you get two entries into the challenge for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree.  Our challenge this week is a sketch, I hope you will play along with us.

For my card, I started with this lovely Bold Butterfly Large  heat embossing it twice with Detail Silver embossing powder onto some rainbow paper and then hand trimming them out.

Using my Nellies Circle Multi Frame die , I cut the inner circle, again out of rainbow paper; adding some texture with my Cheery Lynn Designs Circle Stitching plate.  Then I cut the large flower shape out of coordinating green card stock.  For the pink background, I used my Flutter Bys XL embossing plate, adding Amaryllis Shades ink to the plate before embossing the card stock.  This adds the soft ink color to the debossed areas of the image.  For the yellow panels, using my Fancy Ful Flowers XL embossing plate and February Gold Shades ink, I repeated the process on yellow card stock.  I love the subtle color that is added to the card stock, very elegant look.  My flowers are made using Joy Crafts Daisy dies (0024)  They are not listed on the website but are available for purchase.  I added a border strip, again textured with a Rectangle Stitching plate from Cheery Lynn Designs, some gems and all done!  Finished size is 6" square.

Be sure to visit the Sweet Stamps blog to see what the rest of the design team has come up with and to play along with us for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree at Sweet Stamps. Also, don't forget to check for the winners of last week's blog hop.

Forgot to mention how awesome the butterfly looks - not only with the rainbow paper, but because it looks like it's in flight.
