Happy 4th of July

I hope all my US readers are enjoying their holiday weekend.  It is very hot and humid here in mid-Michigan, a good reason to stay inside and craft.  There are a lot of challenges for patriotic/red, white and blue cards so I thought I would play along.  I just got this new pad of paper from We R Memory Keepers, called Yankee Doodle.  The red background and the text paper are from the pack.  The stars paper is from my stash.  I stamped the image from Mostly Animals with Memento Danube Blue ink onto Cryogen paper.  I trimmed around the eagles wings and added the star paper behind him.  I designed the card then created a Patriotic Swag with my die from Cheery Lynn Designs.  The blue star embellishments are the drop outs from the swag.  Finished size is 6" square.
Challenges:
Mark's Finest Papers - Patriotic
Card Makin' Mamas - Red, white and blue
Blogger's Challenge - Red, white and blue
Sugar Creek Hollow - Patriotic
Our Creative Corner - 4th of July

Sandy, I want to thank you for playing with us this week at Sugar Creek Hollow and hope to see you again next week. I love the way you layered your cut image on the star paper, it makes such a dramatic look. Loving your patriotic papers, great score on those. You have created a beautiful card.
