Outlines Monday Challenge 10 - Christmas in July

Our team challenge this week for Outlines Rubber Stamp is Christmas in July.  Visit the Outlines Rubber Stamp blog to join the challenge for a chance to win a $25 shopping spree and to see what the rest of the design team has created.

I began with this fabulous Cathedral Lace Frame from Cheery Lynn Designs; die cutting it from a piece of gold Stardreams Metallic card stock.  I backed it with some luscious paper from SEI.   Next came the poinsettia created with Wavy Poinsettia Med and Wavy Poinsettia Sm  I stamped them with Versafine black ink onto red card stock, then trimmed them out.  I stamped the small twice so I would have 3 layers.  I added dimensional foam between each layer, curling the ends of the petals.  I used my gold Viva Decor Pearl pen for the center of the poinsettia.  Next came the saying, Warmest Holiday Wishes , stamped with Memento Tuxedo black onto the gold metallic paper.  I added some red pearl pen accents to the border around the sentiment.  The background paper is from the same SEI Corrine paper pack.  Finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

Be sure to visit the Outlines blog and join in on the challenge for a chance to win a $25 shopping spree at Outlines Rubber Stamp company

Your card is so elegant! I love the pretty poinsettia. The lacy background reminds me of the old grills they use to put over the heat ducts in the floors of the old Victorian homes. Lovely background.
Thanks for sharing! :)

Stunning with that die as a backdrop. It does kind of look like an old vent cover you would see in an Victorian Style home!!!! Love the golden pearls in the center!
