Today is the third challenge over at Craft a Scene; the theme this month is Moonlight. And we have a sponsor for this challenge, Kevin from Stampscapes is giving the challenge winner a $25 shopping spree at his website. How generous is that?
I love making tall scenes and this was inspired by a scene from Kevin's gallery, Kevin's scene is done with dye inks on glossy paper. I created mine on Cryogen metallic paper and colored it with Copics. All stamps are from Stampscapes rubber stamps. I started with the Seaside Cove stamp first, then added Boulders with Lichen in the foreground which I masked with Eclipse tape. Next I added the sand pattern. To create the sky, I stamped Eerie Moon in the sky, filling in with Cloud Strips above and below it. Next I added Palm Island. I added some color to the sand and island - E31, rocks E70. I then airbrushed blue into the sky and around the edges; B28, B29, B39. The last step was to add the palm Fronds top and bottom. Finished size is 4 x 9.25 inches and will fit a business envelope. Be sure to visit the Craft a Scene challenge blog for more inspiration and to join in on the fun.

Beautiful job Sandy. Love the way you used the sand stamp in the sky. Would never have thought to do that. Edna

Gorgeous scene here! Love the "night" coloring. You did a great job with this. Best, Curt
Sandy,
Amazing moonlit night! Looks real.
WHOOPS! Looks like I goofed. The sand stamp pattern is not in the sky, it's the cloud strips. Next time I'll read your description better. Sorry.
Still a great scene. Edna
