The challenge this week at Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge blog is Birthdays. I created my card base following the template in my post for a 6" square card. I used this great paper from the First Edition Spring Fest 6x6 pad. The adorable digi image is from Sylvia Zet and is called Spring Bringer. I printed the image onto Cryogen paper and colored her with my Copic markers. For the panel behind the image, I die cut a Swedish Spring Oval frame, then laid the die flat onto matching paper from the paper pack, traced it and hand cut an angel wing. (I am certain Cheery Lynn will come out with one soon!) Next came my Victorian Picket Fence to which I added Fanciful Flourish and Darling Daisies.
The side panels needed a little something so I die cut my Flower Chain Border, trimmed the link off the last flower and added it. I used my Salmon Viva Decor Pearl pen for all the flower centers.
Using the same dies as on the front, I also finished the inside of the card. I die cut my Swedish Spring Oval frame once more out of coordinating paper, trimmed out just the center and layered it for adding my sentiment. This is in my top five ever! I love the colors together and never would have thought so until I started scrapping and stamping. Just adorable.
