The challenge this week at Cheery Lynn Designs challenge blog is For Mom. I was inspired by an entry from Joann and decided to try my hand at making a watering can. This is 6 inches tall from the base to the top. I got a little carried away, lol.
The basic shape was created with my Oval Stacker Nesting dies then I used the matching Oval Doily Stackera to create the base and the topper. I die cut a Kiwi Oval Frame to which I added a piece of French Lattice Small. Then I added all the flowers and flourishes. I used Fanciful Flourish, Darling Daisies, Judy's Blooms, Olive Branches, Stacker Flower 3, and Leaf. To create the handle I die cut Country Girl border out of white and also plum card stock, then layered them for some added support. Adding the spout was quite a challenge so I used Anastasia Border to secure it to the watering can. The last step was to add an Exotic Butterflies Small 2. This was quite a project and it took me about 8 hours to complete, phew! But I am really pleased with how it turned out.
Be sure to visit the Challenge blog for more inspiration from my team members and please join us for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree at Cheery Lynn Designs.
