Die Cut Flowers in Gray

The challenge this week at Cheery Lynn Designs is to use Die Cut Flowers.  No problem there, so many gorgeous Cheery Lynn Designs dies to choose from.  I wanted my card to be pretty monochromatic and this new paper from The Paper Loft fit the bill.  It is a wonderful combination of warm and cool grays.  I started with a card base 5 x 7 inches and then cut a background panel which I dry embossed with my Diamonds and Starburst Embossing Plate.  Next came my Hawaiian Luau Doily.  I die cut another piece using only the long edge of the die; turned it around and used it as a accent piece down the left side of my card.  I added a piece of my French Lattice Small Frame to the back of my doily and then a piece of DP.

To create my flowers using both card stock and my patterned paper, I used a combination of  Judy's Blooms, Cherry Blossom and Daisy Strip.  I added some pieces from my Mini Fanciful Flourish for foliage.  The last step was the sentiment using the largest of the dies from my Birthday (set of 2) and my Happy (set of 2). Finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

Be sure to visit the Cheery Lynn Designs challenge blog for more inspiration and to join in on this week's Die Cut Flower challenge for a chance to win $20 to the store.

Sandy awesome card. I like that you use the Hawaiian doily for a edge too. Clever idea. Your flowers are gorgeous in the different colors like that.
