I have wonderful news, I made the new Heartfelt Creations Design Team. I want to thank Emma Lou and the rest of the amazing team for the chance to design for them. I have loved their product for years and am so excited to start working with it. I thought the announcement was going to be on May 4th so I was not prepared with a card today, but I very quickly put this one together this morning.
I began with a 6"x6" green card stock base. I added a background panel from the fabulous Heartfelt Creations Berry Cafe Paper Collection. Next I cut a 5"x4" green card stock panel, adding three 1 1/2"x 3 3/4" patterned paper panels. This makes a perfect backdrop for my strawberries. Using the new Blooming Berries Cling Stamp set, I stamped them with Memento black ink and then cut them out with the coordinating die from the Berry Blossoms set. After coloring, I used my Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit to add a bit of roundness to the leaves and berries, then popped them up with dimensional foam.
I wanted to keep the colors bright and Spring-like so I used the following Copic markers; R35, R37 and R39 for the strawberries, YG21 and YG25 for the leaves. I added a bit of B000 to the blossoms as well as Y15 to the centers. A bit of Diamond Stickles to the flower centers finished them off. The sentiment panel is also from the paper collection, adding Thanks A Bunch from the Heartfelt Expressions Cling Stamp set. I trimmed one strawberry from the second die cut in the Blooming Berries set and added it to the lower left of the sentiment panel to balance out the card. Last step was to add more Diamond Stickles to all the flower centers including the ones on the sentiment panel. You can't have enough sparkle and I think it gives the card a bright and happy look.
Thank you for supporting my blog and stay tuned for lots of fabulous projects with the upcoming Heartfelt releases. My first official post will be on May 4th. Have a wonderful crafting day.
