Emma Lou's Birthday Blog Hop

We are celebrating Emma Lou from Heartfelt Creations birthday today with a blog hop and a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the Heartfelt Creations store.  Please scroll down for official rules and the members blog links.

My card begins with a 6" square Bazill Bouquet card stock base.  To that I have layered several panels of DP from the Italiana Riviera Paper Collection.  I also added a beautiful lattice medallion from the Raindrops on Roses die set adhered with Designer Dries Clear Adhesive.  I stamped "On your Special Day" from the Classic Message Cling Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Cryogen metallic card stock .  I then sponged Memento Sweet Plum around the edges of the sentiment.  Again using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and text weight Cyrogen metallic paper, I stamped lots of flowers from the Botanical Rose Cling Stamp set and die cut them with the matching Botanical Wings dies.  I sponged Memento Sweet Plum onto the petals, shaped them with my Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit and then stacked them to create various size flowers.  Use Designer Dries Clear Adhesive to adhere them to the card front.

Card front

Next I stamped the largest Grapevine from the Italiana Grapevines Cling Stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Cryogen metallic card stock.  I sponged Colorbox Butter ink into the centers of the leaves and then Memento Bamboo Leaves ink on the rest.  I shaped the leaves with my Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit and then using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive tucked them in around the flowers on the card front.  Lastly I added Crystal Ice Glitter glue to the flower centers and the vines.

 Inside of card

For the inside of the card, I started with another piece of DP and used a computer generated sentiment panel to which I sponged Memento Sweet Plum.  I added one more small flower as well as some Grapevines to finish the card.

3D Envelope front

Now a card this lovely needs a beautiful envelope so following this great tutorial on the Heartfelt Creations blog, I created a 3D envelope so my flowers won't get crushed.  I used the same collection of papers, stamps and dies to decorate my envelope.

3D Envelope side

You can see that my envelope is about 1/2 inch deep providing room for the dimensional flowers.

3D Envelope back

I added a band of paper across the back of the envelope as a closure; just tuck the flap under it.  I love this card and hope it might inspire you to create today.

Heartfelt Creations product used:

Other supplies:  Cryogen Metallic card stock, Cryogen Text Weight paper, Bazzill Bouquet card stock,  ATG, Crystal Ice Glitter Glue,

Now for the blog hop rules:

You have from now until midnight on Tuesday August 16th to visit all the participating design team members blogs.  On August 17th we will randomly choose one of the blogs and then again randomly choose a comment from that blog to win a $25 gift certificate to the Heartfelt Creations store.  If your name is chosen, you have 72 hours to contact passionforsparkle@gmail.com with a subject line of "Winner of Emma Lou's Birthday Blog Hop".  If not claimed within 72 hours, another name will be randomly chosen.  Good luck.

Have fun on the blog hop and good luck.
