Sparkly pine

I started this card with the 2 background papers from Bo Bunny, as I wanted to participate in this weeks Mothers and Daughters Creations challenge. The challenge was to use Bo Bunny paper. So I went back to my Repeat Impressions pine bough for stamping on the brown panel. I had a piece of Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossed black card stock laying by my work area, and I thought I could use that to tie in the dots on the DP on the left. So the last choice was a main design. Since I seemed to have a pine theme going, I chose this single pine tree, again from Repeat Impressions. I embossed it using black VersaColor ink and Black Sparkle embossing powder. I used my Spellbinders Oval Nestabilities to cut and emboss the oval panel, pounced some black ink to hide a black spot (oops) and put the card together.

Here is a closeup of the pine tree with the sparkle embossing powder, when you tilt it you get rainbow colors. I used a gold Spica pen to accent the pine cones. I rarely use ribbon this wide but I thought it was perfect for the card. And then there are the crystals from Hobby Lobby. These are my favorite, they are similar to Robin's Nest Dew Drops but they are clear and have a silver base. I love to color them with my Copic airbrush but in this instance I just left them clear. I hope you got some inspiration from my card. Happy Stamping.

I was hoping this would have been one of Stacey's Sweet Stamps-I collect pine tree stamps, (as if I really need another one). This card would have been so cool "posed" and photographed as the detail would have showed so much nicer than scanning. I bet its dee-lish up close.
