More brayered Halloween scenes

Still using inspiration from Michelle Zindorf's blog my friend Amy and I got together today and stamped out a couple of great scenes.

The first is directly from one of Michelle's tutorials, although I changed the inks a little. I started by stamping the pumpkins with VersaColor black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. After coloring them with Tombow markers, I used a Versamark pen and clear embossed the entire image so it will resist the brayered ink.

I used Adirondack Earthtones and Lights. I found I could apply the Lights directly to the paper, then brayer over to smooth it out. We were using matte coated paper so the ink slides around very nicely. Great for brayering, not so great for coloring your image. I stamped my trees too high but was able to take a LePlume marker and extend the trunks. The pumpkins and the witch are from Inkadinkado, the tree is Stampin' Up and the branches are from Stampscapes. Finished size is 5.5 x 5.5 inches.

The next scene is basically the same, I just changed to the bats from the same Inkadinkado set and a witch from Cherry Pie stamps. This one is larger, finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

I changed the greens I was using to Adirondack Lights Sea Grass and Earthtones Meadow followed by Bottle going down the scene. It is not quite so olive looking. The dark shading is Earthtones Currant.

For the top I started with Lights Tropical Raspberry direct to paper, followed by Earthtones Red Pepper and Cranberry going up the scene. Again, I used Earthtones Currant to shade the edges.

These are great scenes to work on. I had a wonderful time, thank you Amy.

Oh, thanks for playing with me the other day. I think we finally managed to get this technique down! The inks were fun to play with and so were you! I hope they don't scare you too much! Amy P.
