A Swap Scene for Sheila

For September, our theme for the Yahoo Stampscapes II group was Autumn, so using Kevin Nakagawa's Autumn Vista for inspiration, I came up with this scene. It is a full 8.5 x 11 inches. I stamped it on Curious Cryogen White paper with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink, except the distant hills which were stamped with Memento London Fog. I was very pleased with the end result until I added the very last stamp, the man in the rowboat. Once I put that down, I realized that it totally skewed the perspective. Now the upper water appears closer to the viewer rather than in the distance. If you cut the picture in half, you would have 2 perfect scenes. Or if you put the bottom half above the top half, that would work as well. Ah, well, lesson learned. It is still a pleasing scene and Sheila in the United Kingdom is happy with it. The sky and water were airbrushed with Copics, everything else was individual marker work.

Your picture is beautiful. It doesn't seen out of perspective to me at all. I feel I am up on a hill looking down and out. It's awesome.
