Copic Owl of Peace

This charming fellow is my entry for the 12 Days of Christmas challenge on Paper Craft Planet. For the 3rd day of Christmas, 3 French Hens, we have to make something using a hen, a rooster or an owl.

Well, since I love this little owl from Repeat Impressions, of course I had to use him. The pine bough is from Sutter Stamps. The Peace stamp is from Hero Arts.

I stamped the owl first, masked him and then added the pine. His darker feathers are E13 Light Suntan. I used E51 Milky White around his eyes, under his chin, for accents on his breast and for his feet. His beak is YR12 Loquat as well as the ring around his eyes. The pinecones are E42 Sand White shaded with E44 Clay and E13 Light Suntan. I used YG93 Grayish Yellow on the pine needles.

Using my Spellbinders Nestabilities Label die, I cut and embossed him, then airbrushed B34 Manganese Blue before removing him from the die. I stamped the pine bough on a piece of green card stock to make the panel behind him. Finished size is 5 x 7 inches. Thanks for stopping by
