Brayered Sutter Mountain scene

Since my brayer was still laying on my table and I had a bit of time before meeting friends for a Memorial Day cookout, I was inspired by some colors Michelle Zindorf used in her recent post.

I began by using Adriondack Brights Sunshine Yellow directly to my Xerox Heavyweight Matte cover and then smoothing it out with my brayer. My next step was to add a mask for the sun using Eclipse tape.

TIP: When punching or die cutting shapes out of the Eclipse tape, it is easier to adhere the tape to some lightweight cardstock before cutting it out. You will get cleaner edges that way.

With my mask in place, I bayered Adirondack Brights Sunset Orange to the bottom half of my card. Next, I added Adirondack Brights Watermelon to the top of the card. Then I heat set it and removed the mask. A little of the ink crept under the mask as I brayered a little more than I really needed too.

Then I stamped the mountain and cattails from Sutter Stamps, the boater, gulls and pine bough from Stampscapes with Archival Jet Black ink. Once again heat setting. And I was done.

I don't remember seeing this one, it's beautiful. Such a different look, love it. Been going way back and looking at old postings. Edna B.
