Stippled tags

I went to the Stamp Scrap Art tour in Southfield, Michigan today. Several booths were using tags as demo items. So I purchased some glossy tags and came home to play.

Using stipple brushes and Adirondack dye inks, I created the backgrounds, then went in search of stamps to fit them, backwards, I know. But I knew I could find what I needed in the Stampscapes line of stamps. I stamped the images with Archival Jet Black ink. I did quite a bit of heat setting on these projects.

Aren't they pretty? I think they would make great bookmarks. I put ribbon on the first one, will do the same for the others. Kevin from Stampscapes, new sets of Sentiments are just perfect for these tags.

I made a couple of Halloween ones using a new Tim Holtz stamp but will save those for closer to the holiday. I hope these might inspire you to "tag along". Thanks for stopping by.

These are gorgeous. I like to make bookmarks because I feel that people will keep them more than they might keep a card. The stampscpes stamps are wonderful for bookmarks. Thanks for more inspiration.

I'm drooling..... the colors of these bookmarks just took my breath away! The richness is stunning and so well paired with the small scenes and sentiments. You've made Kevin proud, I'm sure!!!

This technique is what led to my Adirondack collection! Lovely tags -- hmmmm.... might have to pull out some stuff and do a copy cat post of this! I do like those sentiments too! I love all quotes and saying stamps.
