Red and Brown challenge Willow

The challenge this week over at Stampin' for the Weekend is to use the color combo red and brown. I taught an Advanced Copic coloring class on Sunday, (I had a lot of fun, thanks ladies) and one of the images we used was Willow with a Sunhat from Whiff of Joy. Since I had colored her in shades of red, I thought she would be the perfect image for this challenge.

I began by stamping Willow on Cryogen white paper from Cutcardstock.com with Memento Tuxedo black ink. Copics used:
Face - E00, E02
Hair - E37
Hat - R83, R85, R89
Dress - R81, R83, R85, R89
Flowers - B21
Leaves - G24
Shoes - R89

I used R89 to color my ribbon, and I airbrushed the flowers and gems to match. The saying is from Hero Arts. I used my EK Success flourish punches for the swirly accents. Added some findings to the flowers and I was done. Finished size is 5 7/8" square.

My friend Sheila from Doubtfires Musings has created a beautiful card for the challenge. This is her last time as a contestant, she has been picked to join the Stampin' for the Weekend Design Team. I am so happy for her. If you have not visited her blog, you are in for a treat. I call her the "Queen of the Finishing Touches". She has quite the way with embellishments. Please stop by and wish her well in her new adventure.

I'm back from a short vacation in time to see this cute little girl. The colors are perfect and the workmanship the best. You sure use things from many companies and they should appreciate all your advertising for them. Keep it up gal. Edna B.
