Karen's Doodles US Challenge 1 - a Sketch

This week is our first challenge over at Karen's Doodles Challenge blog. Please check it out and play along for a chance to win free digi stamps from Karen's Doodles.

Our first challenge is to follow a sketch. You can rotate the sketch or change it to a square card, just try to stick to the basic layout.  Add as many embellishments as you like.  You may use any digi stamp from Karen's Doodles you do not have to use the Leprechaun, this is just for demo purposes, but you MUST use a Karen's Doodles image.  If you don't have one, you can join her Paper Craft Planet group and collect the freebies she has graciously given the group.

For my card, I did decide to use the Lucky Leprechaun digi stamp because it is the season and I love this image.  It is so much fun to color.  And if you will notice, I flipped the image so he is facing to the right, it suited the sketch better.  That is one of the wonderful things about digi stamps, not only can you resize them but you can flip them horizontally so they face the opposite direction.

I got this great DP today, it is from the Basic Grey Two Scoops Collection.  I love plaids and this had green and orange in it.  Can't get much better than that!  Of course I used my Copics to color him in. I airbrushed the gems and the flowers to match.  The flourishes are an EK Success punch.  Finished size is 5x7 inches.  Now if I only knew someone Irish to send this to, lol.

Please stop by the Karen's Doodles Challenge blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with, it is pretty special.  And join in on the fun for a chance to win free Karen's Doodles digi stamps.

I just adore this. Great colour combo and what a brilliant idea to airbrush the flowers! I would not have picked it.

Hi Sandy

fantastic card! you know I never even noticed you had flipped the image lol! I have yet to colour him up for my father in law's St Patricks Day card, in nearly 6 years of crafting this is the first year I can make him a card for it!

Hoping the us dt girls have a fab week
