Sweet Stamps Challenge 3 - Flowers

Today is our third challenge on the Sweet Stamps blog.  Anyone can enter, but if you use a Sweet Stamps rubber stamp you get two entries into the challenge for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree.  Our challenge this week is ......

Flowers

For my card, I decided to once again get my parchment craft supplies out and have some fun, I love the elegant look of Parchment.

I began by stamping Cutwork Rose with white dye ink onto 36# vellum  then embossing with Pearls embossing powder for a lovely satin shine.  I used my Memento markers to add some color.  For some texture in the frame area, I used my Straight Grid, just rubbing over the holes in the grid from the back.  It gives it that lovely swiss dots look.   I used a 4-split Perforating Tool to cut out the image.  For the dark purple panel, I used my Spots embossing folder, I love the 2 different size dots.  The last step was this fabulous Ribbon Border die, click on the picture for a closeup of the embossing on the die.  Finished size is 6" square.

Be sure to visit the Sweet Stamps blog to see what the rest of the design team has come up with and to play along with us for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree at Sweet Stamps. Also, don't forget to check for the winners of last week's blog hop.

This is gorgeous Sandy, I love parchment but cannot for the life of me do it.
That ribbon die is great, a really pretty finishing touch yet not taking away from the parchment
