Balloon Fest Layout

For my Cheery Lynn Designs post today, I decided to step way out of my comfort zone and try a 12 x 12 inch scrap book page.  The hard part was finding subject matter; I have no family but thought this great photo from the Michigan Challenge Balloonfest a few years ago might work.  At the end of the evening as the sun goes down, the balloons inflate but stay on the ground and do a glow.  It is so beautiful to see 20 or more balloons with their colors all aglow!  I decided to approach my page as if it were just a really big card.  I chose this great designer paper from The Paper Loft in keeping with this week's Red, White and Blue challenge.   Be sure to check it out, we are giving away a Big Shot at the end of the month in addition to the weekly prize.

Here is a closeup of the flowers.  I stacked Stamens from the Build a Flower set on top of Judy's Blooms on top of Stacker Flower 4.  I like how my team members have been curling the petals up rather than down; it makes for a lovely flower.

That is it for me today, be sure to hop over to the Challenge blog to see who was voted last weeks Top 3 Spotlight Winners and to see what Alison has created for you.  Have a great day and thank you for your support of Cheery Lynn Designs.

To bad this can't be down sized to a card. It's beautiful. Love the paper, layout and colors. Everything fits the photograph.

This is awesome, Sandy. Balloons must be beautiful at night! You did a great job putting the layout together for such a large size.
