What's Up 2 with Cheery Lynn Designs

Lori from the Cheery Lynn Designs team noticed a card on my blog and asked if she could use it for today's Cheery Lynn post but I told her I would make another similar one instead.  I began with my Old Parchment XL embossing plate and a piece of Cryogen Metallic paper 4 x 5.25 inches.  I dry embossed the panel and then used Distress ink along the edges of the paper lightly continuing across the middle.  I thought the embossing looked a lot like a cloudy sky.   Next I added a piece of the new Winter Neighborhood border across the bottom, also die cut from Cryogen Metallic paper.  I added some yellow card stock behind the windows and then lightly colored the grass and trees with a G40 Copic marker.

Next came the Clouds to which I added a bit of Distress ink so you would not lose them on the embossed background.  I die cut the new Hot Air Balloon from card stock, then cut the matching angel wing out of Cryogen Metallic and colored it in with my Copic markers.  I popped the balloon up for some added dimension.  The last step was the sentiment created with Cheery Lynn's Mini Font.  Finished size is 4.25 x 5.5 inches.

Don't forget that Cheery Lynn Designs is running a Design Team Call.  You can check out the details here.

Very nice. Like this sky background so much. Looks like the real thing. Is Old Parchment the name of the company that made the embossing plate? Would like to get one. Thanks. Edna B.
