Happy Birthday, Lois

I made this card for my best friend, Lois. She loves penguins and bless her heart, my cards. Not much coloring to this, the designer paper, Indigo Denims Scatter Stripe by Recess, was my color inspiration. I stamped the penguin with Memento Tuxedo black. He is colored with Cool Gray C6, and Y38 Honey. The gift is B95 Light Grayish Cobalt Blue, the ribbon is Y15 Cadmium Yellow. I used a Spellbinders Rectangle die to cut out the image as well as emboss around it. Before removing it from the die, I airbrushed BV20 Dull Lavender around the edges. Layering this onto a gold panel, I then die cut and embossed another rectangle using a matching denim blue as the bottom layer. Both the penguin and the sentiment were mounted with pop dots for some dimension. The corners were punched using my EK Success Concave paper shaper. I used my airbrush and Y38 Honey to color the rhinestone embellishments. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Inky Antics. Card size is 5 x 7 inches.
