Cheery Lynn Designs Snowflakes

Well, we finally got some snow this week in Michigan, yeah!  So this week's challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is perfect..............

Snowflakes

Cheery Lynn Designs has a wonderful assortment of snowflakes available.

For my card, I layered Snowflake 7 on top of Snowflake 4, using pop dots for lots of dimension.  I also used the gorgeous  Snowflake Flurries XL embossing plate for my background.  I embossed Core'dinations color-core paper and then sanded the raised embossing so the core color shows through.  The frames is the newly released Dutch Doily Rectangle Frame, the image is called Winter Fairy from Whimsy stamps.  I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo black ink, then colored her with Copics.  I added Sparkly Fluff to her coat, boots and earmuffs.  Finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

Be sure to check out the challenge for a chance to win a $20 coupon for shopping at the Cheery Lynn website.

Merry Christmas to All

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all my loyal readers.  I hope you have a safe and healthy holiday filled with love and happiness.

I made this card for my best friend's husband.  He likes moose, so I used this Boyd's Bears Manheim the Eco Moose  stamp.  Copics used:
Manheim - E42, E43, E44, R21
Antlers - E35, E37
Coat - E04
Acorn sack - E21, E33
Acorns - E13, E37
Trees - G40, G94

For the background, I used a Herringbone Cuttlebug folder and some Core'dinations Black Magic card stock.  I sanded off the raised areas so the core color showed through.  I used the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder for the center panel.  I did not have card stock to match so I colored my Cryogen white with Copic E04 and it matches perfectly.  Finished size is 4.25 x 5.5 inches.

Karens Doodles First Snowfall

Here is another adorable digi image from Karen's Doodles called First Snowfall.  I decided to join in on the fun at Our Creative Corner, the challenge this week is Let It Snow

I printed First Snowfall onto Cryogen white paper with my inkjet printer.  Copics used:
Faces - E000, E00, E02, R20
Girl's Hair - E09
Girl's Snowsuit - R83, R85
Sitting Boy's Snowsuit - BG45, BG49
Standing Boy's Snowsuit - G00, G02
Boy's Hair - E15
Snowman and Snow- B0000
Nose - YR14
Scarf - BV02, RV02
Coal - C2

I added Sparkly Fluff from Our Craft Lounge to the fur trim on the coats and hats.  I purchased some great paper made by Core'dinations, part of the Whitewash Collection.  It has a wonderful whitewashed texture on the front with a color core.  I embossed it with my Cuttlebug snowflake folder, then sanded the white washing off to reveal the light blue core of the snowflakes.  The snowflake border is from Martha Stewart.  The saying is from Inky Antics.  Finished size is 5 1/2" square.
