Cheery Lynn Designs and Kenny K

I was browsing around looking for some inspiration for my Cheery Lynn Designs post today and I came across a great sketch over at Kenny K's Challenge blog.  So I grabbed my dies and some paper from Jillibean Soup Watermelon Gazpacho and had some fun.  Just look at all the dies I used..........

What a great sketch and what fun I had putting this card together.  The digi image is called Queen's Cutie from Kenny K.  I printed it onto Cryogen paper with my inkjet printer and then colored with my Copic markers.  I added some Vintage Photo Distress ink to the bottom layer of the flower, bending the petals up on the bottom and down on the top layer for some great dimension.  I added some red accents with my Viva Decor Pearl pen.  Finished size is 6" square.

Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Sketch Challenge

This week the Kenny K's Krafty Girlz have a sketch for us to follow. I chose to use this great image called Download Diva.

I started by die cutting the rectangle around the image first so I would know what size to print the image.  This is another of my new dies, it is called Multi Frame Die rectangle from Nellie's.  I used the largest rectangle in the set.  I love the cut-outs below the scallops.  Then I flipped the image horizontally, sized and printer her onto Cryogen paper with my inkjet printer.  Copics used:
Skin - E000, E00
Lips - E11
Eyes - BG93
Hair - E70, E71
Top  and Socks - R11, R00
Pants - E70
Shoes - BG93, E70, R11
Ipod - W1

These great papers are from the Basic Grey Cappella 6x6 collection.  The card stock is called Bark, a Bazzill Basic color, it matches so well.  Isn't this a great sketch, so many pieces parts!  For the flower I used 2 different die sets; 3 Daisies Cutting and Embossing Die for the smaller flower and Flowers and Leaves Creatables Die for the larger flower.  I airbrushed R12 on the embossed areas before removing it from the die.  Then I added a great flourish from the Circle Frame and Flowers Creatables Die set.  All these die sets are from Marianne Design.  Finished size is 6.5" square.

Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge - Pastels

The first challenge for Kenny K's Krafty Girlz is Pastels.  This is a tough one for me because I usually like bold and bright colors.

Using Adobe Photoshop Elements, I combined two images, Troublemaker and Queens Cutie.  I added the box under Queen's Cutie for her to sit on and for Troublemaker to lean against.  Then I printed the image onto Cryogen paper with my inkjet printer.

I used a lot of Copics on this, just about every light color I own.  The strongest color I used was B12 for their eyes.  I followed this weeks sketch at Split Coast Stampers.  The DP is from the Paper Salon, Karen Neuburger's Celebrate Collection.  Finished size is 6" square.

Sadly, I did not make the Design Team for Kenny K but I so love the images and plan on playing along with the challenges as often as I can.  Be sure to visit the challenge blog to see what the Design Team has created.

I am excited about Kenny K's digis.  I just love to color these type images, they have so much expression and movement.  They are looking for DT's to start a challenge blog in July.  I am going to throw my hat into the ring and hope they like my work enough to choose me.
