Sassy Cheryl's Polly and Butterscotch

The challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs this week is Celebrate.  I wanted to get one last Easter card in and this one uses Sassy Cheryl's digi image Polly and Butterscotch.  I printed her onto Cryogen metallic paper and colored her with my Copic markers.  I created my card base using my Scalloped Coved Rectangle Stackers with the matching Silver Coved Rectangle for the DP panels.  For the border, I added Anastasia border along the bottom and Ribbon Eyelet Border w/Piercings through the middle.

To create my flowers, I used one of the petals on the Build a Flower #1 die.  I cut them out of text weight paper; layered and staggered them and then fluffed them up.  I added a Sophie's Heart Mini doily below them as well as Olive Branches.  The last step was the computer generated sentiment on Tags 2.  Finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

Love Conquers All

A few weeks ago I entered a challenge for a Guest Design spot with The Paper Loft.  And I am honored to have been chosen.  I got to pick out an assortment of papers and accessory sheets and I will be designing for them in April.  I received my goodies and even though April is not here yet, I had to play with them.  I had already colored this adorable image called Noah and his bunny Bandit from Sassy Cheryl's and was tickled to see it matched some of the paper I had received.  So I whipped up this 5x7 card using DP from the Easy Breezy paper collection and a sentiment from the Everyday Life 'Happy' Accessory Sheet.  The doily is from Cheery Lynn, I split it horizontally so it would extend the length of the card.

This image reminds me of the stuffed bear I had as a child.  It had been my mother's and was all threadbare, had a few holes and smelled musty.  And it was a big as I was.  But we were best friends and I told him all my secrets.  I still have it today although it is pretty pathetic but I can remember the happiness he gave me.  Thanks for stopping by; I truly appreciate your support and comments.

Allie and her Bunny

For my Cheery Lynn Designs post today, I created a card around this adorable digi image from Sassy Cheryl's called Allie and her Bunny.  I hand trimmed around the image and then layered it onto a Scalloped Oval Little Stackers die cut.  I used my Scalloped Square Large Stackers for the card base and the coordinating Silver Square Stackers for the DP panels.  I added two horizontal panels trimmed with Anastasia borders

I created the flowers with my Miniature, Medium and Large Roses adding Olive Branches for some greenery.  I added a tag for personalizing the card using my Tags 1 die set.  Finished size is 5 5/8" square.

Sally's Rag Bunny

For my  Cheery Lynn Designs card today, I used this adorable image from Sassy Cheryl's called Sally's Rag Bunny.  I began my card with a card base created with my Scalloped Square Large Stackers; adding a background die cut with the coordinating Silver Square Stackers.  I framed the image with the oh so beautiful Polynesian Sails Oval

To create the flowers, I die cut 8 small and 2 medium flowers from the new Daisy Strip die.  I used text weight paper so I was able to cut 4 layers of paper at one time.  So I only had to die cut it 3 times.  I love that you can get so many flowers from one pass through your die cut machine.  Using a stylus tip and a foam pad, I scored the petals down the middle which gave them a ripply look; then stacked them and fluffed them up.  I added a few Olive Branches and the card was complete.  Finished size is 5 5/8" square.

Stitch It Up

The challenge this week at Cheery Lynn Designs is to Stitch It Up, either real or faux stitching.  For my card, I actually got my sewing machine out and stitched the background panels together as well as the vertical striped piece.  I have used this cute little image from Sassy Cheryl's called Charlie the Wicked Witch. Wonder what she is thinking?  I printed her onto Cryogen paper and colored her with my Copic markers.  I used my Oval Little Stackers and Inverted Oval Little Stackers to create the panels behind the image.  I added some spider web accents using a corner die from the Lace Corner Deco H die set.  I used a combination of Cherry Blossom, Judy's Blooms, Miniature Rose and Medium Rose to create the flowers adding some Flourish Leaf Strip for greenery.  The great DP is from the Doodlebug Haunted Manor 6x6 paper pad.  Finished size is 6" square.
