Mo Manning's Shy Valentine James

Have you made an easel card yet? They are so much fun. For this one I used one of Mo Manning's new Valentine images called Shy Valentine James.

I measured my Nestabilities Labels Large die first then sized and printed the image onto Cryogen paper with my inkjet printer.   Copics used:
Face - E000, E00, E02
Hair - E19
Hat - BG11, BG13
Jeans - E21, E25
Shirt - BG13
Shoes - BG13, YG13, C1
Heart - RV21, RV23, RV29
Shadow - C2

The saying is computer generated.  The DP is from Archivers.  I made the silk bow with my Bow Easy.  Finished size is 4.25 x 5.5 inches.

Here is a side view of the card, you can see how it stands up like an easel.  The base is 4.25 x 11 inches, scored at 5.5 and 2.75 inches.  I make the stand up portion 4 x 5.25 inches so when it is laying flat, it is framed by the card base.  These are great fun as there is so much room for adding embellishments.

Mo's Digital Challenge 13 - Birthday

January's hostess, Lisa Cook has set this week's Mo's Digital Challenge theme to Birthday.  So I decided to make an easel card using Mo's Birthday Hamster.

I began by sizing and printing this cute little guy onto Cryogen white paper with my inkjet printer.  First, I measured my largest Spellbinders Large Label so I knew what size to make the image.  Copics used:
Hamster - E21, E33, R20
Icing - RV00, RV02
Cake - RV21, RV23
Paper - E41, E43
Shadow - W1
I added Pink Spica pen to the sprinkles for a little extra bling.  I also used RV25 on the gems and the ribbon so they matched the card.  The DP is from Doodlebug, the saying is computer generated.

Here is a side view to show you what the easel card fold looks like.  It is a fun card to make, lots of room inside to added a personal note or another saying.

Be sure to stop by Mo's Challenge blog to see what else the design team has created.  And please join in on the fun for a chance to win an image from Mo's Digital Pencil Too

Impression Obsession Meow'y Christmas

Here is a card we made in class today (hi, girls!)  This is my first easel card, they certainly are fun and make a statement.

I began with this wonderful Cat with Santa Hat F7025 from Impression Obsession, stamping it with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Cryogen white paper from Cutcardstock.com.  Copics used:
Hat - E19
Hat trim - C0, B0000
Cat - E40, E41, R01
I airbrushed E43 around the image before removing it from my square Nestabilities die.

The DP is from the Basic Grey Wassail collection.  I used Meow'y Christmas B5251, also from Impression Obsession.  Finished size is 5.5 x 4.25 inches.
