Karen's Doodles Challenge 26 - Bookmarks

This week, our challenge hostess Joey at Karen's Doodles Challenge blog has challenged us to make..................

Bookmarks
Since the kids are headed back to school, we thought it would be a great challenge.

For my card, I am using a couple of Karen's new images.  Joey Goes to School and Back to School Set.   Using Photoshop Elements, I sized and combined the images, created a gradient background then printed it onto Cryogen paper.  As always, I used my Copic markers to color the images.  I added a black panel, a black ribbon and a red panel, and I was done.

Won't you please join in on the fun? You could win....

1st Place - 3 Digi stamps of your choice from Karen's Doodles

Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Sketch Challenge

This week the Kenny K's Krafty Girlz have a sketch challenge for us.  I chose to use Queen's Cutie, one of the Glam Gang for my card.

Girl - E000, E00, RV32
Hair -Y32, Y35
Eyes -B14

Karen's Doodles Fall

Do you remember doing this as a kid?

This is a new image from Karen's Doodles called Fall.  I sized the image to fit my Circle Frame die from Marianne Design, then printed it onto Cryogen paper with my inkjet printer.  Copics used:
Boy - E000, E00, R20
Hair - E11, E13, E19
Shirt - G40, YG13, Y18
Pants - B91, B93, B95, R17
Shoes -  G40, YG13, Y18, C3
Leaves - YR21, YR68, R17, YG23, E43
Shadow - W, Blender pen

I could not decide on a green I liked for the shirt, thus the 2 different greens with a yellow on top.  Same for his hair, I started out too dark, so I lightened it with the other 2 colors.  That is the great thing about Copics, you can replace or even push another color out of the way.  I airbrushed R17 on the embossed edges of the paper before removing it from the die.

The corner embellishments were made with my Nellie's Double Corner Die which you can get from Sweet Stamps.  The leaves are stamps from Serendipity and punched out with the matching McGill punch.  The DP is from last years (I think) Debbie Mumm Harvest and Holiday pack from JoAnn's.  Finished size is 6" square.

Mo's Digital Challenge #46 - Halloween

This week over at Mo's Digital Challenge our challenge is Halloween, one of my favorite times of the year.  I love to drive around and look at decorations in neighbors yards.  I love to decorate but live quite far out in the country and never get any Trick or Treaters.

This little cutie is called Pirate Kai, isn't she the cutest. Yes, Kai is a girl, I think she is patterned after Mo's niece.  I sized Kai to fit my die then printed her onto Cryogen paper with my inkjet printer. Copics used:
Kai - E000, E00
Hat, Vest, Boots - C3, C5
Shirt - V12, V15
Sash, Pumpkin - YR65, YR68

The DP is from Basic Grey's Eerie collection, the Trick-or-Treat is a piece of ribbon, the letters are from Making Memories.  Finished size is 6" square.

Class samples

I taught class to my monthly ladies recently and they had a couple of  requests for scenic cards. The first request was to use this fabulous hawk from Beeswax Rubber Stamps.

After I stamped the sky pattern, I decided I did not like it in the darker blue and had my ladies stamp theirs with a softer blue.  I was right, it improved the scene.  All the scenic stamps are from Stampscapes.  We used Adirondack dye ink applied with a Colorbox Stylus.  Finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

For this next scene, the request was to use loons.  I was inspired by Ken Pesho for the layout of this scene.  And again, when I taught the ladies, I was not happy with the bland coloring and had them add some pink into the sky as well as the water.  It was much better.  Finished size is 4.25 x 5.5 inches.  All stamps are from Stampscapes.  Again, we used Adirondack dye ink applied with a Colorbox Stylus.

Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge - Bold and Bright

This week the Kenny K's Krafty Girlz have a theme challenge for us.... Bold and Bright. I chose to use Uptown Girl, one of the Glam Gang and make an easel card.

Hair - E33, E35
Eyes - E99
Top - RV21, RV23
Jeans - BG10, BG11
Shoes - BG11, RV21, C1, C3

I airbrushed BG05 around the image before removing it from the die.  The DP is from My Mind's Eye.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts; the border punch is Martha Stewart.  Finished size is 4.25 x 5.5 inches.

Mo's Digital Challenge #45 - Sugar 'n Spice

This week over at Mo's Digital Challenge our challenge is Sugar N Spice, that is what little girls are made of!.  Easy challenge since Mo has so many wonderful little girl images.  Since I missed the Christmas challenge, I decided to make a Christmas card.

This little cutie is called Pammy's Stocking, do you remember doing this as a kid.  My stocking would be hanging on the bedpost at the foot of my bed when I got up in the morning!  Oh, the treasures I would find tucked in there.  So I measured my Multi Frame Oval die from Nellie's and sized the image to fit.  I then printed it onto Cryogen paper with my inkjet printer.  Copics used:
Pammy - E000
Dress - R35, R37, R39
Hair - E21, E33
Stocking - G21, YR23
I airbrushed BG02 around the image before removing it from the die.  I created the flower with my Poinsettia Creatables die  from Marianne Design.  The DP is from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses 6x6 paper pad.  I airbrushed all the gems to match.  Finished size is 6" square.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has come up with. I hope I have inspired you to give digi images a try.

This week the Kenny K's Krafty Girlz have a theme challenge for us.... Summertime. I chose to use Troublemaker, one of the Glam Gang.

Using Adobe Photoshop Elements, I added this great Crooked Picket Fence digi stamp from Make It Crafty and then created the blue to green background before sizing and printing it onto my X-Press It paper. Copics used:
