Hot Time in the Summer

This week at Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge blog we have a theme: Hot Time in the Summer, to use summer colors.  I have created a double diagonal easel card and added some photos and space for journaling.  I used this adorable image from Karen's Doodles called Beat the Heat.  I sized and printed the image onto Cryogen metallic paper, then colored it with Copic Markers.  I used the frame from the Emperor's Swan die around the image.  The flower is created with Judy's Blooms which I set down on a leaf from the Tropical Leaves die set.  The border is called Anastasia.

The photo above is what the card looks like when opened.  I framed the images using my Scalloped Square Reflections dies, adding a Kiwi Spirit Doily behind each image panel.

Here are the easel panels in their upright positions.  I added some gems on the border panels to help prop the easels up.

If you flip the easel panels back, you can see the inside of the card.  I added two panels created using my Scalloped Coved Rectangle Little Stackers and Silver Coved Rectangle Little Stackers to add a sentiment and some journaling.  I added two more flowers using my Judy's Blooms adding some greenery using my Tropical Flourish.  Finished size is 6" square.  All of the DP is from the Basic Grey 6x6 Lauderdale and Lime Rickey paper pads.  I airbrushed the gems to match and the pearl accents on the Reflections dies and Rosie's bathing suit are Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

Wow, pretty neat double easel card Sandy, love the colors, and the super cute image too. We certainly don't need to beat the heat here in the UK.....more like hide from the rain. LOL
